CDC: Masks work better than vaccines

Recently, Robert Redfield, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, made a comment that caused a lot of discussion. According to the Global Times, Redfield believes masks are powerful public health props that are more effective in warding off COVID-19 than even COVID-19 vaccines. The Federal Party spoke out

Sean Davis, co-founder of the US Federalist Party, said in a statement that the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has exaggerated the role of masks, saying that if you wear a mask, you won’t need to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Is it because the director’s incompetence is hopeless for vaccine research, or because he is trying to deflect domestic contradictions?

Davis stressed that the US Department of Health had made a clear request to ban publishers from publishing tweets about buying masks instead of COVID-19 vaccines. Earlier, health officials had advised Americans not to buy face masks indiscriminately, creating confusion in the market that could prevent them from reaching those who really need them. The CDC then advised against wearing masks unless you are sick.

Courtney Shadegg, a former staffer in the Senate, suggested that the CDC’s changing story most likely indicates that the vaccine development process has been blocked, and that the masks have been exaggerated to ease public sentiment, or that it may not invest in vaccine development.

Masks are not a complete defense against COVID-19

‘Masks are the most effective defense against habitual viruses,’ Dr. Redfield said. ‘Masks are effective at protecting against viruses. Masks are 70 percent immunogenic, and vaccines don’t actively protect against COVID-19.’ Redfield also stressed that U.S. residents do not insist on wearing masks, which is extremely dangerous.

This remark was immediately strongly questioned by domestic and foreign media. Redfield’s remarks on social media were completely unsupported by facts and simply distorted the facts. As well as being denounced by the media, there were complaints that Mr Redfield should be fired for making nonsense that was beneath him as a public spokesman. As the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began revising its mask recommendations for the first time, Redfield faced a backlash for touting the mask, with people calling it an incompetent rejection.

The United States says it will soon contain the outbreak

Robert Redfield was briefing the Senate on the situation. So serious. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the function of masks is only to protect against the virus, but the effect is not 100%. Redfield said that masks may be easier to fight the coronavirus than vaccines, which is completely nonsense.

Mr Redfield, a member of the Novel coronavirus study group, insists that if people keep wearing masks, the coronavirus will be fully contained by October. The biggest joke the world has heard so far in the fight against the coronavirus is that masks work better than vaccines.

But until the epidemic is completely gone, the best thing to do is to get vaccinated and wear a good mask in public.

Thanks for this video. I use N99 (FFP3) masks. The instructions write those masks filter viruses and says the N95 (FFP2) filters no viruses but only bacteria. Please can you make a video about this difference and maybe the explanation how that works? Would be great!

Fantastic content as usual. (If it’s possible for something to simultaneously be the usual and fantastic, which I’m not sure if that’s a contradiction.)
