During the pandemic, I had a single use-by-date N95 mask from the brand Duckbill. I kept it set aside at home, instead opting for the newer PPE issued by my workplace. When smoke filled the eastern coast, I wanted to acquire more masks to stock up on. Since I frequently have to purchase child-sized masks and hats, I wanted the Duckbill model. However, I wasn’t completely satisfied with the quality. The strap and nose metal piece of the mask only lasted a day. It performed well in terms of dispelling smoke.

I purchased these masks because I was interested in trying out the horizontal strap configuration, which pulls my ears out to the side. However, I was a bit concerned about the branding shown in the product picture, as it felt like wearing words across my face.To begin, it took a bit of effort to figure out how to put the first mask on. But once I did, I immediately noticed that the horizontal strap is both more comfortable and creates a tighter seal, providing better protection. This means that my glasses are less likely to fog up due to my breath. Additionally, as you can see in the attached photo, the writing is very dark and difficult to read – which is a pleasant surprise.
